NDO – The Tokyo Metro Vietnam Limited liability company was launched as a subsidiary of Japan’s Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. at a ceremony in Hanoi on April 7, with an aim to strengthen Vietnam-Japan cooperation in managing and operating urban railway systems in Hanoi and other cities in Vietnam.
NDO - Vietnam-based mobile platform provider, Appota, announced on April 5 that it has successfully raised an undisclosed funding for its series C round from two investment funds from the Republic of Korea (RoK) namely Korea Investment Partners (KIP) and Mirae Asset Venture Investment (MAVI).
NDO – According to the Agency of Business Registration under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, in 2016, for the first time ever, the number of newly registered enterprises reached more than 110,100 with over 90% coming into operation with taxation activities in practice. This means the number of ghost enterprises (fake companies) sharply reduced and capital is increasing rapidly.
NDO – As many as 38% of Malaysian companies are willing to choose Vietnam as their favourite destination in Asia to expand their business over the next three to five years, a report recently-released by the United Overseas Bank (UOB) has quoted.
NDO/VNA – The Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) Development Fund of the Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched its financial aid packages for 2017 to continue assisting the firms which make up 97% of the total number of businesses in Vietnam.
NDO—More than 14,450 enterprises were set up in the first two months of this year, with a total registered capital of over VND152.5 trillion (US$6.71 billion), up 3.9% in terms of number of enterprises and 35% in terms of registered capital over the same period in 2016, according to the Business Registration Management Agency.
