NDO - Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has asked the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Samsung group to continue providing support in training and technology transfer to enable the Vietnamese support industry firms to join Samsung’s value chains.

He made the request at the opening ceremony of the training programme for Vietnamese consultants in Hanoi on April 17. The programme is a part of a cooperation project between the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and Samsung.

Supporting industries is one of the fields which the Vietnamese Government pays special attention to for development, he added.

The Deputy PM highly appreciated that the MoIT and Samsung Electronics Vietnam Company Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding on supporting the training of Vietnamese consultants in improving production and quality during the official visit of RoK President Moon Jae-in.

Deputy PM Dung suggested that the MoIT continues to support and create favourable conditions for enterprises to deploy training programme and activities to support enterprises in developing the supporting industry in the near future.
