NDO – The budget airline Vietjet on January 15 received one more Airbus A320 aircraft under a wet leasing agreement to meet increased demand during the Lunar New Year.

The new plane will be added to the carrier’s existing fleet to supplement the capacity of the routes where demand is outstripping supply.

During the period of January 31 to February 3, Vietjet operated nearly 6,700 flights, providing almost 1.4 million seats as part of its endeavours to meet higher demand ahead of the Tet holiday.

Vietjet also increased the number of check-in kiosks at airports and has encouraged passengers to check themselves in on the carrier’s website in order to save time and reduce pressure at airports.

With an ambition of becoming a consumer airline, Vietjet has frequently been opening new routes, adding more aircraft to its fleet and offering many added services to provide additional value and meet the demand of passengers.
