Petrol prices rise VND900 per litre

Nhan Dan Online – Domestic fuel prices have increased for the second time within a month after the Finance Ministry approved price hike proposals by fuel importers on August 1.
The price of 92 RON petrol, the most popular type of fuel in Vietnam, raised VND900 to VND21,900 per litre while kerosene is quoted at VND20,650 per litre, up VND500. A litre of 0.05S diesel is going for VND20,800 and 0.25S diesel at VND20,750. Earlier on July 20, retail fuel prices increased by between VND300-400 per litre. In Singapore, 92 RON petrol sold for US$116.14 a barrel while kerosene stood at US$120.9 a barrel. Since the beginning of 2012, petrol prices have risen by VND3,400 per litres following four rounds of increases and five rounds of cuts.
