Exhibition celebrates liberation of South

NDO – The photo exhibition, ‘Great Spring Victory 1975 in Mekong Delta’ kicked off at Can Tho city Museum on April 25.

The event is a part of activities to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Unification (April 30, 1975 – 2017) and May Day (May 1), as well as the 127th anniversary of the birthday of President Hồ Chí Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2017).

The exhibition showcases over 120 photos highlighting the glorious struggle of the southern people and army during the US resistance war under the leadership of the Party and the great support of the northern rear front.

On the occasion, a thematic display of farming equipment used in the Mekong Delta during the resistance war is also on show, with over 250 items and photos.

Visitors will have a chance to enjoy a re-enactment of the rice production process of Mekong Delta farmers.

The event runs until August 15.
