NDO – An exhibition of paintings on 2018 Lunar New Year (the Year of the Dog) will open at Dong A Gallery in Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hanoi on February 25.

On display will be 31 works painted by 18 Vietnamese contemporary artists, including Phan Cam Chuong, Thanh Chuong, Pham Kien, Ho Hung, Do Dung, and Pham An Hai.

The exhibits, in different styles, feature the image of the dog – the animal designation of this Lunar New Year, creating a variety of impressions and feelings among the gallery’s visitors.

The exhibition is expected to become a unique event among activities to celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year as well as become a highlight for Vietnamese arts this year.

The event will also help visitors realise new insights and interesting experiences regarding the dog – widely regarded as man’s best friend.

The exhibition will run until March 10 and admission is free.
