Uzbekistan Cultural Days in Vietnam opens

NDO – The Uzbekistan Culture Days in Vietnam opened on April 19 at the Hanoi Opera House, as part of the activities to enhance the friendly relations and co-operation between Vietnam and Uzbekistan.

Co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Uzbekistani Ministry of Cultural and Sports Affairs, the event will take place in Hanoi and Thanh Hoa from April 17 to 22, with many artistic performances and exhibitions.

As many as 33 artists from Uzbekistan will perform their traditional songs and dances during the Uzbekistan Cultural Days in Vietnam 2018.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Kukonbaev Umidjon, Uzbekistani Deputy Minister of Cultural and Sports Affairs, said that under the framework of "Uzbekistan Cultural Days in Vietnam", Vietnamese audiences have the opportunity to approach and learn the love songs and musical melodies of the people of Uzbekistan.

Through cultural exchanges, the people of the two countries will have the chance to exchange and understand each other more, he added.

Speaking at the event, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the first ‘Uzbekistan Cultural Days in Vietnam’ programme is a significant event, enhancing mutual the understanding between the two countries’ people and strengthening the cultural exchanges between the two countries.
