Hanoi charity market held for patients and poor ahead of Tet

The market aims to support underprivileged people as they prepare to celebrate Tet.

NDO – A charity market was held at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi on February 3-4 to bring a warmer Tet to the poor in the capital city.

The event, which is the second of its kind, welcomed 3,000 people who are living in difficulty and poor patients who are receiving treatment at 14 hospitals in Hanoi.

Each visitor was given a voucher allowing them to buy 10 products at the market with each item worth a minimum of VND50,000.

All of the essential goods needed to celebrate Tet are available at the market such as clothes, pork pies, sticky rice, green beans, and bamboo shoots

Also available at the market were confectioneries, candies, jams, fruits and household commodities.

All of the goods were freely given to customers in exchange for vouchers which were distributed among the disadvantaged.

Do Minh Thanh, a patient from Yen My district, Hung Yen province who is receiving treatment at K Hospital, received a voucher at the market.
