NDO – The fourth fireworks show of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018 was staged on June 9, under the theme ‘Desire’, featuring sparkling performances by two teams, Göteborgs FyrverkeriFabrik (GFF) from Sweden and Grupo Luso Pirotecnia (GLP) from Portugal.

Utilising the Pyrodigital technique, the Göteborgs team entertained the audience with a variety of 3,500 firecrackers at both low and high-altitude, with rock as the major music background.

According to the team’s leader, Leif Martin Hildeberg, the performance told a story of friendship with a focus on Da Nang’s iconic Han River and its bridges, as well as the friendship between Vietnam and Sweden.

Meanwhile, with 3,000 colourful fireworks, the Luso Pirotecnica team showed off nearly 30,000 pyrotechnic effects during their performance, which was set to fire from 33 firing positions and seven launching platforms at the height of around seven metres.

Fireworks is an art and our mission is to bring the arts to the top of creativity and deliver dazzling performance, said Joaquim Manuel De Melo Rodrigues – the team’s leader.

The two teams’ show also concluded the four qualification shows of the six competing teams in the festival, together with contestants from Vietnam, Poland, France, the US, Italy, and Hong Kong (China).

Two teams Atlas PyroVision from the US and Marterello from the Italy stood out from the qualification and they will enter the final night, which will be held on June 30 under the theme ‘Friendship’.
