Visitors savour Hanoi Cuisine Festival

NDO – ‘Banh cuon Thanh Tri’ (Thanh Tri steamed rolled pancake), ‘com Me Tri’ (Me Tri young sticky rice), ‘bun Phu Do’ (Phu Do noodle) and ‘gio cha Uoc Le’ (Uoc Le steamed pork paste and deep-fried cinnamon paste), and others, are among the signature dishes of Hanoi being introduced to visitors at the Hanoi Cuisine Festival.

The festival, taking place at Thong Nhat Park from October 11 to 14, features 26 booths selling mouth-watering specialties from the capital city.

‘Cha ca’, a grilled fish dish served in a frying pan which has gained heartfelt appreciation among visitors to Hanoi.

Children enjoy tasting ‘khuc’ cake, the cover of which is made with glutinous rice powder mixed with brayed 'khuc' leaves.

A special area is set up to introduce the history and development of Hanoi’s traditional crafts to visitors.
