NDO – The 12th National Party Congress spent an entire day on January 24 to hold groups discussions on personnel work for the 12th Party Central Committee.

In the morning, delegates discussed the criteria and structure for the 12th Party Central Committee and studied the list of nominations for members of the 12th Party Central Committee prepared by the 11th tenure’s committee (both official and alternate).

They also proposed additional candidates (outside the list nominated by the 11th Party Central Committee). The Personnel Subcommittee collected candidacy and nomination reports from delegations attending the event.

The Congress’s Secretariat asked delegates to prepare issues in the 12th Congress’s documents that need to be voted on.

In the afternoon, the Presidium sent a general report on personnel candidacy and nominations to delegations. Delegates withdrew their candidacy and nomination proposals or their names from the nomination list. Heads of delegations reported to the Presidium about the list of withdrawal.

According to delegates at the congress, the personnel work was prepared thoroughly at the 12th, 13th and 14th meetings of the 11th Party Central Committee. Particularly, the 14th meeting of the 11th Party Central Committee decided to introduce the four key leadership positions.

The personnel work was carried out in the spirit of democracy. Candidates proposed by a delegate or a delegation or a candidate not being a Party Congress delegate were also recorded in the nominated personnel list. Delegations reached high consensus on the personnel work and the recommended list for the 12th Party Central Committee prepared by the 11th Party Central Committee.
