Hanoi Treasury asked to tighten state budget spending

NDO – Secretary of Hanoi city Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai has asked the Hanoi Treasury to work closely with the relevant agencies to tighten state budget spending and avoid wasteful expenditure.
The city Party leader made the request at a working session with the Treasury leaders on August 30 to review its operations in the January-August period and map out directions for the remaining months of the year.
He praised the city treasury for effectively managing the state budget revenues and expenditure over the past few years.
He asked that the treasury further the application of advanced information technology in their operationsand fulfil their assigned tasks for 2017.
He also requested that the treasury continue reforming administrative procedures and improve human resource training and the work of staff members.
Since the beginning of this year, the capital's budget revenues have reached over VND 128 trillion, equivalent to 62% of the yearly estimates. By the end of August 25, The Treasury had spent nearly VND64trillion (US$3 billion) from the local budget.
According to the Treasury Director Dao Thai Phuc, over the past few years, the treasury has taken measures to foster the disbarment of investment capital and meet the spending of agencies, while controlling State expenditure as regulated.
