PM and four cabinet members to attend Q&A sessions

NDO - Five cabinet members including the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Information and Communications, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, and the Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court will attend the National Assembly's question and answer sessions on November 16-18.
National Assembly Secretary General Nguyen Hanh Phuc informed the press during a briefing on the fringes of the on-going NA meeting in Hanoi on November 9.
He said that the NA Office has collected opinions from the NA deputies related to 24 groups of issues, with the focus being on four groups of issues including finance, banking, information and communications, and the courts.
Thus, the PM and the heads of the four related ministries and sectors were selected to take part in the Q&A sessions to address the issues of public concerns, the NA Secretary General said.
Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung will answer questions on tax management, the settlement of tax arrears, preventing tax losses, national finance safety, and public debt management, among others.
Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan will reply to questions related to the application of information technology to administrative procedure reform, the building of an e-Government, the management of the media, measures to control incorrect information on social networks, and others.
Issues concerning the monetary policy regulations, operations of weak banks and solutions to ensure the safety for the whole banking system will be addressed by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Le Minh Hung.
Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Hoa Binh will respond to questions on the solutions needed to improve the quality of judicial work and personnel in the court sector in order to meet the requirements of judicial reform.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will spend half a day to answer questions on various aspects from the deputies on November 18.
NA Secretary General Nguyen Hanh Phuc added that, besides the five aforementioned cabinet members, other cabinet members could be requested to clarify issues or answer questions which are related to their responsibility.
