Lao press delegation visits Nhan Dan Newspaper

NDO - A delegation of leaders of Lao press agencies led by Vilaythong Sisanonh, Director of the Institute of Mass Media, Culture and Tourism of Laos, visited Nhan Dan (the People's) Newspaper on December 6.

At the meeting, Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief Dinh Nhu Hoan expressed his delight to receive the delegation at Nhan Dan Headquarters while emphasising that Nhan Dan Newspaper has always attached special importance to the relationship with Lao colleagues.

Vilaythong Sisanonh, Director of the Institute of Mass Media, Culture and Tourism of Laos thanked the warm reception from Nhan Dan, noting that Lao delegates wished to learn about the development experiences from Nhan Dan.

The Nhan Dan Deputy Editor-in-Chief said that Nhan Dan Newspaper is willing to share its experience with delegates from Lao press agencies and believed that with many similarities in the press of both countries, Lao guests will develop appropriate orientations to the press of Laos.

Hoan also talked about difficulties that Nhan Dan Newspaper, the central organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam, has to confront in such a fiercely competitive press environment.

He added that Nhan Dan Newspaper has invested in developing advanced technology and equipment to adapt to the fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), particularly in Nhan Dan Television. As a result, Nhan Dan Television has been broadcast in 60 countries and territories across the world.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed issues related to press profession and Nhan Dan's experience on disseminating information on the Party and State policies.

On the occasion, the delegation visited Nhan Dan Newspaper’s traditional house and took photos together with leaders and staff of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
