The Deputy PM was thankful for the support of the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as the international organisations, doctors, and experts assisting the development of Vietnam’s health sector.

It is essential to improve the efficiency of the grassroots-level healthcare network while expanding the application of information and technology in medical facilities, he added.

Deputy PM Dam asked the governments and political organisations to closely co-ordinate with the health sector in creating the most favourable conditions for doctors and medical workers to fulfill their tasks.

On the same day, many provinces and cities around the country held meetings to mark Vietnam Doctors’ Day, honouring outstanding individuals and units in the health sector.

On the occasion, a get-together was held by the Cambodian-Vietnamese Doctors’ Association, with the attendance of Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh. Established one year ago, the association operates as a charity organisation to care for Overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia.
