NDO – The central committee of socio-political organisations needs to continue to foster stronger great national unity.

The remark was made by President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s Central Committee Tran Thanh Man at a conference in Hanoi, on February 28, to review the coordination between the VFF standing board and the central committee of socio-political organisations in popularising the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on the great national unity in 2017, as well as its plans in 2018.

In addition, the VFF President also asked the VFF standing board and the central committee of socio-political organisations to call on their members to participate in the National Press Contest on the fight and prevention of corruption and wastefulness during 2018 -2019 and the 13th Press Award "For the Cause of the Great National Unity" during 2017-2018.

In 2017, the coordination resulted in many innovations, especially, the popularising of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies through movements which met the diverse information demands of youth union members, members of organisations and labourers.

Supervisory activities were focused on, in particular promoting the fight against corruption and wastefulness, as well as raising the awareness on the role and responsibility of socio-political organisations’ members. Meanwhile it is necessary to actively fight the incorrect opinions and activities of hostile forces, who divide the great national unity.
