NDO – An exhibition opened in the northern border province of Son La on March 7, featuring materials and images on Vietnam’s sea, islands, and naval soldiers, as well as highlighting the local efforts in protecting the nation’s sacred sovereignty.

The event was organised by Son La provincial Party Committee in cooperation with the Navy’s Party Committee at the Son La Cultural Centre. It is part of the meaningful activities between the two sides to promote communication on Vietnam’s sea and islands, including a series of exchange events and the signing of coordination campaigns.

It aims to provide further information to local officials, soldiers and people on the position, role and importance of the sea and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Furthermore, the event also aims at stirring sympathy, sharing and trust in the naval soldiers, who accept hardship and sacrifice to forcefully defend the motherland’s sovereignty.

As part of the two sides’ events, an art programme will take place in Son la city later the same day.
