Policewomen recognised for contribution to national development

NDO – Over recent years, Vietnamese women, particularly those in the public security forces, have made significant contributions to the cause of national construction and development.

The statement was made by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security at a ceremony held by the Women’s Association under the Ministry in Hanoi on March 8, to celebrate its 35th founding anniversary.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister congratulated the female staff and soldiers of the Ministry for their outstanding achievements in contributing to enhancing the patriotic emulations and building a professional, elite, and gradually modernized police force.

He asked that all officials and soldiers in the force, including policewomen, continue to uphold their role and responsibility in protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety.

The Women’s Association under the Ministry should pay close attention to protecting the legitimate interests of its members, contributing to efforts for gender equality, added Minister To Lam.

On the occasion, under the authorisation of the President, Minister To Lam presented the National Protection Order, first class to the association.
