PM informs Hai Phong voters on results of NA's sixth session

NDO - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies from Hai Phong held a meeting with local voters from Le Chan district, Hai Phong, on November 23, to inform them of the results of the recently concluded sixth session of the 14th NA.

Voter Tran Ngoc Thao from Ho Nam ward said that the NA's sixth session approved a number of new legal documents including the revised Anti-Corruption Law, a law which stipulates that people are expected to be a weapon to destroy the evil that is undermining the trust of the people.

He also expressed his hope for stricter punishment from the Government in order to maintain discipline and social order.

Sharing the same view as Thao, voter Le Quy Hung,from Lam Son ward, acknowledged the positive results of the fight against crime over recent years, but noted that crime remains complicated, particularly robbery, murders, drug-related crimes, and others. Hung also requested that the Government pays more attention to addressing these issues.

PM Phuc acknowledged the opinions from voters, affirming that the Government and the armed forces will do their utmost to crack down on crimes and make the people feel more secure.

He also emphasised that corruption crime must be strictly handled and that there is no "prohibited zone" in anti-corruption.

At the meeting, the PM also answered questions onthe prevention of tax evasion, infrastructure development to keep up with the economic growth of Hai Phong, smuggling prevention, deforestation, education development, and others.

The Government leader also directed the Hai Phong authorities to address the problems raised by voters concerning the upgrade of infrastructure and residential areas, and the establishment of primary schools.
