Leaders host meetings to inform voters on outcomes of NA’s sixth session

NDO – National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, held a meeting with voters in Le Binh ward, Cai Rang district, Can Tho city, on November 27.

At the event, deputy head of the Can Tho city’s delegation of NA deputies, Nguyen Thanh Xuan, briefed the voters on the outcomes of the 14th NA's sixth session and the major contents of the laws adopted at the session.

Addressing the event, NA Chair Ngan stressed that greater effort will be made to have the people’s voice heard at the NA’s hall, saying that voters’ opinions will be raised at NA discussions relating to important issues that directly impact the lives of the people.

She also answered voters’ concerns on unsettled planning, land clearance compensation, education, the fight against corruption, and others.

The same day, Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC), Vo Van Thuong, visited and met voters in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province.

Politburo member Thuong, who is also Head of PCC Commission for Communication and Education, asked for increased dialogue exchanges between the local authorities and the people in order to address the public’s pressing concerns.

In Duc Hue district, Long An province, Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh informed voters of the remarkable results of 14th NA’s sixth session as well as the country’s socio- economic situation over the past year.

Also this morning, General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member and Minister of Defence visited Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province, to listen to the constituents’ queries and suggestions on such problems as the water pollution of Day and Nhue rivers, traffic accidents, child care, food safety, and others.

Voters also gave high estimations to the success of the NA’s sixth session and expressed their appreciation for the responsibilities of provincial delegation of NA deputies.
