Lao journalists visits Nhan Dan Newspaper

NDO – A delegation of Lao journalists, led by Somsavath Phongsa, Deputy Director of the Lao Press Department, visited Nhan Dan (The People’s) Newspaper on October 6, as part of the delegation’s visit to Vietnam.

The delegation was received by Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Khanh.

During the meeting, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Khanh also briefed the Lao delegation on the operation of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Nhan Dan Online Newspaper, and Nhan Dan Television, adding that the Russian version of Nhan Dan Online is scheduled to make its debut in 2017, followed by a Spanish version one year later.

On behalf of Nhan Dan's leaders, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Khanh wished the delegations a fruitful trip in Vietnam.

For his part, Deputy Director of the Lao Press Department Somsavath Phongsa expressed his gratitude for the welcome reception from the official newspaper of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He affirmed that the relationship between Vietnam and Lao is very close, including the press sector, which is typified by the cooperative relationship between Vietnam’s Nhan Dan Newspaper and Laos’ Paxaxon newspaper.

He expressed their desire to enhance the co-operation between Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Lao press and wishes that the cooperation between the two countries will lead to sustainable development.

On the occasion, the delegation visited Nhan Dan Newspaper’s traditional house and took souvenir photos together with the leaders and staff of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
