NDO/VNA/MOFA – An official inter-sectorial delegation from Vietnam visited the US aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson on March 3-4, as the ship passed through international waters near the country’s coast.

The visit was made under the invitation of the US Embassy in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese officials were introduced to the ship’s operations, and given the chance to learn about the crew members’ life and work on the ship. They also engaged in exchanges with the crew members to enhance their mutual understanding in the spirit of the bilateral Comprehensive Partnership and as an effort to maintain peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Since 2009, Vietnam has sent officials to visit the US’s aircraft carriers when they pass through the international waters near the country’s coast.
