President meets outstanding policewomen

NDO – President Tran Dai Quang hosted a reception on May 16 for outstanding policewomen in 2016 and representatives of groups who have successfully implemented 20 projects in response to the 2012-2016 movement on ‘Policewomen study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example’.

At the function, the State leader stressed that Vietnamese women have always played a crucial role in national construction and defence and have made glorious feats of arms which have been recognised throughout history.

He also hailed Vietnamese women for promoting their finest characteristics and the revolutionary spirit to embrace any difficulty to make significant contributions to all fields of politics, economics, culture, education and training, science and technology, diplomacy security and defence.

Not only fulfilling work comitments, Vietnamese women have also been essential in caring for and building happy family’s as well as raising children, thus contributing to the development of the country’s future generations, he emphasised.

Expressing his pleasure at the outcomes of the ‘Policewomen study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example’ movement during the 2012-2016 period, the President said that the 20 outstanding projects of the movement were vivid illustrations of the growth and increased strength of Vietnamese policewomen.

He also highly appreciated the Central Police Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security for their close coordination with the Vietnam Women’s Union and relevant ministries, sectors, and localities in deploying the movement.

He asked for enhanced care and further support for policewomen in their study and at work, timely honour outstanding policewomen who have contributed to preventing and controlling crimes, protecting social order and security, and ensuring peace and happiness for people.

He also expressed hope that policewomen would uphold the glorious tradition of the people’s police force in serving the country and the people in today’s life.
