NDO/VNA - A delegation of senior leaders paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and laid wreaths at the Monument to War Heroes and Martyrs in Hanoi on February 3 to mark the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

The delegation included General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, former Party General Secretaries Le Kha Phieu and Nong Duc Manh, President Tran Dai Quang, former President Tran Duc Luong, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man, and other officials.

The leaders showed their respect and gratitude towards President Ho Chi Minh, the founder and leader of the CPV, a vanguard organisation of the working class and the nation, and a decisive factor in all of the victories of Vietnam’s revolution.

At the Monument to War Heroes and Martyrs, the delegation recalled the devotion of those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and reunification.
