NDO - The Ministry of Public Security co-ordinated with Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Communist Review to hold a national scientific conference on “70 years of the People’s Police studying and implementing Uncle Ho’s Teachings” on March 5.

The event drew the presence of Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC and head of the PCC’s Communication and Education Commission; To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security; and Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the PCC and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Delegates at the seminar discussed the important role of the Vietnam People’s Police over the past years, praising its absolute loyalty to the country and people, Party and State, as well as its ties to the people and readiness to protect the nation, as well as its courage in fighting enemies and crime.

The police are urged to continue to protect national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity; safeguard the Party, State, people, and socialist state; ensure political security and social safety; and maintain peace for national development.

Every officer and soldier working in the sector should always endeavour to improve their qualifications and promote solidarity, in order to meet the requirements of the current situation.
