NDO - Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong visited officers and policemen of the 113 Task Force under the Hanoi Police Department who were on duty on the night of February 4, the last night of the 2018 lunar year.

The Party and State leader was accompanied by General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security; Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member and Secretary of Hanoi municipal Party Committee; Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Party Central Committee (PCC) member and Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hanoi municipal Party Committee; and Nguyen Duc Chung, PCC member and Chairman of Hanoi municipal People’s Committee.

Party chief and President Nguyen Phu Trong extended his best greetings to officers and policemen of the 113 Task Force and Hanoi policemen in general on the occasion of lunar New Year 2019, praising their high sense of responsibility during Tet - the biggest national festival.

He asked the force to closely coordinate with other functional forces to ensure social order, traffic safety, fire and explosion prevention before, during and after Tet.

He expressed his belief that the public security sector will gain more excellent achievements in 2019, completely fulfilling its tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

Visiting the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong applauded the EVN’s outstanding working performance and compressive development over the past years, calling on the group to make further contributions to the national industrialisation, modernisation and electrification process.

He wished EVN staff and officers and workers of the power sector nationwide a New Year full of health and happiness.

The top Party and State leader then offered incense at Tran Quoc pagoda and Quan Thanh temple to pray for peace, happiness and prosperity for the nation and its people.

Later, he walked across Thanh Nien street to share New Year joys with residents in the capital city. He offered lucky money and extended New Year greetings to workers of the Hanoi Environment Company who were on duty at the street.
