NDO - The Green Innovation Awards, the second of its kind, have been launched by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The awards are designed for three groups; primary and secondary students; high school students; and college and university students and those aged between 19 and 30 years. They are organised with the aim of discovering, introducing, and popularising outstanding initiatives and models for environmental protection and sustainable development.

The entries will focus on energy saving, environmentally-friendly products, biodiversity preservation, waste recycling and treatment, policy solutions, environment education, and the application of information-technology in environmental protection and management.

Thirty of the most outstanding entries in the qualifying round will be picked out to take part in the finale.

Submissions are open from now to August 31, 2018. The prize-giving ceremony is scheduled to take place in December this year.
