NDO/VNA – An environment protection campaign in tourism activities, themed “Blue Vietnamese Sea,” will take place in five central coastal cities and provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Da Nang from May 18-26.

The campaign is co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU).

The launch ceremony will be held in Binh Minh Square, Cua Lo town, the central province of Nghe An.

During a press conference in Hanoi on May 15, the organising board said following the ceremony, young people from the provincial Tourism Department, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports and the provincial HCMCYU chapter will clean up Cua Lo beach.

Similar activities will be also conducted in other cities and provinces.

A friendly football match between Hanoi artists and Song Lam Nghe An club is also planned.

The closing ceremony will attract celebrities and social influencers in Cua Lo, Nghe An and honour individuals and collectives for their active contributions to sea protection and clean-up in the central coastal localities.
