NDO - The Prime Minister has recently approved a project to strengthen the management capacity of the reservation area system by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

The project aims to improve the management capacity of reservation areas from the central to grassroots levels for the sustainable development of natural resources and biodiversity in Vietnam.

The main task of the project is to develop policies for the development of reservation areas; develop and issue regulations on the job description of public servants working at reservation areas and the management board of reservation areas; as well as review, formulate and propose the promulgation of sustainable financial investment policies for the operation of reservation areas in accordance with specialised law, the Budget Law and the Public Investment Law.

In addition, it is also necessary to improve the training of staff working at reservation areas.

Another task set out in the project is to apply advanced technology to support the management of reservation areas; as well as maintain and protect natural resources and biological varieties, and facilitate economic development and ecological tourism.
