Work starts on first private hospital in Kon Tum

NDO – The Kon Tum Medical Investment and Development Joint Stock Company has organised a groundbreaking ceremony to begin construction on the first private hospital in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum.

The 100-bed hospital will be constructed on an area of 4,300 square metres at Quyet Thang Ward, Kon Tum city, with a total investment of VND160 billion (US$ 7 million).

The project is expected to be complete in 2020.

Along with the construction of the hospital, Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee has assigned Kon Tum Medical Investment and Development Joint Stock Company with the task of developing and processing local medicinal herbs, such as Ngoc Linh ginseng, into medicines and pharmaceuticals.

The hospital is expected to work closely with hospitals and medical centres in the province to meet the healthcare demands of local people.
