NDO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) launched the 2018 youth month and tree planting festival on February 25 in the tourist city of Ha Long.

The launching ceremony was attended by head of the Central Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh who urged the HCYU to continue supporting young people in their education and business start-ups.

During the action month, the Union will organise activities to promote young people’s innovative spirit, encourage them to participate in rural development programmes and protect the environment.

Young people will also be offered advice and training on how to start their own businesses.

The HCYU has also called on youth nationwide to actively take part in the tree planting festival to contribute towards continued efforts to protect the environment and mitigate climate change impacts.
