NDO – In the first ten months of 2018, the number of Vietnamese workers abroad reached over 116,000 people, equal to 106.07% of the year plan.

Thus, this year’s labour export has exceeded the target set with two months of the year remaining.

According to the Department of Overseas Labour under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, in the first ten months of 2018, Vietnam has sent 116,675 labourers to work abroad, of which 41,636 were female employees, 106.07% of the plan for 2018.

In October alone, the number of labourers working abroad reached more than 14,548 workers, of which 4,978 were women labourers, including 8,078 in Japan, 5,373 in Taiwan (China), 522 in the Republic of Korea, and the rest in other countries.

Last year, over 134,000 labourers were sent abroad.
