Minister of Public Security works with Yen Bai Police

NDO - A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security had a working session with the provincial Public Security Department on February 16.

The session saw the presence of Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Thi Thanh Tra; and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Do Duc Duy in addition to leaders from the Police Department of Yen Bai.

At the meeting, Director of the provincial Public Security Department Dang Tran Chieu delivered a brief report highlighting the provincial police force’s efforts made to ensure security and social order in 2016 and throughout the first two months of 2017, especially during the Lunar New Year festival (Tet).

Addressing the working session, Minister To Lam acknowledged efforts made by the provincial police force in implementing public administrative reform and encouraging local people to actively respond to the ‘All people protect National Security’ movement.

The Minister asked the force to continue to enhance responsibility, as well as actively grasp the situation of localities, to focus on the building police force, particularly communal-level police, so as to effectively prevent and combat against crimes and to ensure social order and safety in the province.
