Hanoi FC dominate VPF’s titles for 2018 V.League season

NDO – Vietnam Professional Football (VPF) officially announced the collective and individual titles for the 2018 V.League season on October 10, with Hanoi FC dominating in most of the prize categories.

Accordingly, as the overall V.League champions, Hanoi FC received VND3 billion (US$129,000) in prize money, while the next placed teams, FLC Thanh Hoa and Sanna Khanh Hoa BVN, were awarded VND1.5 billion (US$64,500) and VND750 million (US$32,250), respectively.

Song Lam Nghe An won the fair-play prize worth VND200 million (US$8,600), in addition to a VND20 million prize for the best youth training club.

In addition, Hanoi FC were also named the club with the “best playing surface”. In the First Division tournament, Hanoi B walked away with VND500 million (US$21,500) as the runners-up, and another VND100 million (US$4,300) for the fair-play prize.

Hanoi FC dominated the individual titles, winning four of the total five prizes. Accordingly, Hanoi manager Chu Dinh Nghiem was voted the best manager of the 2018 V.League; Hanoi forward Nguyen Van Quyet was named the most valuable player of the tournament; Hanoi midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai was named the best young player; and Hanoi’s foreign striker Oseni won the “top scorer” title with 17 goals.

Hanoi FC striker Oseni is the top scorer of the 2018 V.League with 17 goals.

The only individual title missed by Hanoi FC is the “most beautiful goal”, which went to Hai Phong FC’s Dinh Bao.

The VPF also presented VND5 million (US$215) each to the best players of participating clubs, including Tien Linh (Becamex Binh Duong), Omar (FLC Thanh Hoa), Duy Manh (Hanoi FC), Thanh Long (Hai Phong FC), Cong Phuong (Hoang Anh Gia Lai), Sy Minh (Nam Dinh FC), Thanh Trung (Quang Nam FC), Ngoc Duy (Saigon FC), Quoc Chi (Sanna Khanh Hoa), Duc Chinh (SHB Da Nang), Van Duc (Song Lam Nghe An), Nguyen Sa (Quang Ninh Coal), Phi Son (Ho Chi Minh City), and Tung Quoc (XSKT Can Tho).
