Party, State leaders join national solidarity festivals

Great national solidarity festivals were held across the country with the presence of Party and State leaders.

Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong joined a great national solidarity festival with locals in Dur Kmal commune, Krong Ana district, Dak Lak province.

In addition, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a festival in Ninh Son hamlet, Ninh Son commune, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province.

President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of Cuba Miguel Mario Diaz Canel Bermudez, his spouse and a high-ranking Cuban delegation paid their official friendly visit to Vietnam on November 8-9 at the invitation of the State President and the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

During his stay in Vietnam, he held talks with Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong as well as met with National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and other leaders.

UK Inspire Me Festival held in Hanoi

The first-ever United Kingdom (UK) Inspire Me Festival was held in Hanoi from November 9-11, offering a chance for Vietnamese people to experience the British atmosphere.

The festival featured 56 booths by businesses from the UK in various fields of culture, education, science and technology, fashion and trade.

Vietnam beat Laos 3-0 in AFF Suzuki Cup opener

Vietnam crushed Laos 3-0 in their Group A opener of the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup at the Laos National Stadium in Vientiane on November 8.

The goals were scored by Cong Phuong, Anh Duc and Quang Hai.

Vietnamese team’s coach Park Hang-seo demonstrated his ambition, bagging the full three points against Laos.
