US President Donald Trump said that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) had agreed to not conduct another missile test until after proposed meetings with its leader, Kim Jong Un, had taken place, as he sought to rally international support for a potential summit.

Trump's comments aligned with what a Korean official from the Republic of Korea had stated on March 8 about the possible talks.

* Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi said that the first-phase rehabilitation of Ajil oil field, some 30 km east of the provincial capital Tikrit, was fulfilled. The production capacity of the field after the first phase of rehabilitation reached 17,000 barrels per day (bpd).

Ajil oil field and the nearby oil field of Allas were seized by the IS in 2014 and became an important source of funding for the IS group, which extracted about 10,000 bpd from them.

* The Syrian army on March 10 secured the evacuation of a number of families (with 60 people in total) from the recently captured town of Mesraba in the capital Damascus' Eastern Ghouta countryside, the state TV said.

Earlier in the day, the Syrian government forces captured Mesraba and encircled the city of Harasta in Eastern Ghouta countryside.

* Iran is ready to allocate a credit line of three US$billion for Iraq's post-war reconstruction.

According to Iran's first Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, two sides must make efforts to increase the level of bilateral economic trade to above US$7 billion.

* The African Union (AU) has decided to launch the African Free Trade Zone (AFTZ), Moussa Faki Mahamat, the head of the AU Commission, told reporters upon his arrival at Algiers International Airport.

On the 31st summit in January in Addis Ababa, AU took some very important decisions, particularly the AFTZ, which will be on the agenda of the next summit on March 21 in Kigali in Rwanda, in addition to the African passport and air transport in the continent.
