NDO - The function of the Committee for Management of State Capital (CMSC) is not capital trading but to manage and develop State capital in enterprises, said Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue at the working session with the CMSC on March 26.

This is the first official working session of a Government leader with this committee since its establishment in September 2018.

The Deputy PM emphasised that the establishment of the committee aims to implement the policy of the Party and State of separating the functions of State ownership and State management in enterprises.

In the short term, the CMSC must deal with 12 loss-making projects run by the industry and trade sector and approve production and business plans of 19 corporations and groups with a focus on comprehensive restructuring of finance, personnel and investment.

He urged the committee to gradually improve the efficiency of the abovementioned projects while clearly defining its role as the representative of State ownership in enterprises without interfering in the business rights of enterprises.

The Government official also emphasised the significance of personnel in the success of the committee, asking it to ensure enough qualified personnel recruited in 2019.

Deputy PM Hue, who has been assigned by the Prime Minister to directly guide the CMSC, also asked ministries and sectors to cooperate with the committee to help it fulfill the goal of managing State capital in enterprises.
