Work starts on high-tech agricultural complex in Dak Lak

NDO – A groundbreaking ceremony for the Dak Lak DHN high-tech agricultural complex was held in Ea M’droh Commune, Cu M’gar District, Dak Lak Province on September 27.

The project will be jointly carried out by Hung Nhon Group from southern Binh Phuoc Province and De Heus Group from the Netherlands.

The complex, with a total investment of VND1.5 trillion (US$64.6 million), is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025. This complex has become the largest high-tech agricultural project in Dak Lak so far.

The 200 ha complex will produce high-quality agricultural products in a closed process, including the production of breeding pigs and chickens, organic animal feed, and organic fertilisers in addition to the building of an automatic pig slaughter plant.

The project will apply 100% of high technology in all processes according to international standards while the farm system is operated and monitored according to 4.0 technology, contributing to improving quality and productivity of agricultural products.

The complex is expected to turn the Central Highlands to become a pig breeding centre and a leading high-tech breeding model in the Southeast Asia and Asia.

The project will create jobs for nearly 300 workers, contributing to the training of skilled workers in the fieldof high-tech husbandry and organic farming.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien affirmed that agriculture in general and the livestock industry in particular will continue to be important economic sectors with significant contributions to the national development.
