Vietnam always supports and facilitates ROK investors

NDO – Minister of Industry and Trade (MoIT) Tran Tuan Anh emphasised that the Vietnamese Government and the MoIT always support and create favourable conditions for investors, including investors from the Republic of Korea (ROK).

The minister made the remarks at a seminar between the MoIT and ROK enterprises which was jointly held by MoIT and Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in Hanoi on November 26.

The event also saw the presence of ROK Ambassador to Vietnam Park Noh Wan along with representatives of more than 30 large ROK corporations that are operating in Vietnam.

Minister Anh said that after 28 years since the establishment of the diplomatic ties with ROK, the relations between Vietnam and ROK is developing better than ever in all areas.

ROK has become the leading trade and investment partner of Vietnam and ROK enterprises has been making significant contributions to Vietnam’s export growth and trade surplus in recent years, Anh noted.

Minister Anh said that despite difficulties due to the COVID-19, the MoIT is a pioneer in supporting ROK experts to enter Vietnam. Vietnam has successfully brought more than 10,000 ROK experts to Vietnam to work at FDI projects. They are extremely valuable human resources in ensuring the normal operation of FDI factories and projects in Vietnam.

He noted that ROK enterprises can take advantage of favourable conditions in Vietnam, particularly the control of the pandemic, to restore and promote production in Vietnam.

General Director of Samsung Vietnam Choi Joo Hoexpressed his thanks for the support and cooperation of the MoIT to enterprises in the process of ROK’s businessand investment in Vietnam in recent times.

He noted that ROK enterprises in Vietnam are happy because Vietnam has successfully controlled the COVID-19 pandemic, creating favourable conditions for the operations of ROK enterprises in Vietnam.

ROK hope to continue to receive support from the MOIT and pledge to strengthen cooperation with the ministry to contribute to promoting the development of industrial production and trade in Vietnam towards strengthening the fruitful relations between Vietnam and ROK, he added.
