NDO/VNA – An exhibition highlighting Vietnamese women’s role in the national defence and development opened at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi on October 15.

It is part of the activities to mark the respective 75th and 89th founding anniversaries of the People’s Army and the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Featuring nearly 300 documents, images and items, the event aims to honour women’s contributions and raise awareness among the armed forces and people, particularly youths, on Vietnam’s revolutionary tradition and patriotism.

The exhibition is held following different topics – Vietnamese heroines in history, and Vietnamese women in the country’s struggles for independence against French and American armies, as well as in national building and protection amid the modern context.

Visitors can attend the event until November 20.
