Nhan Dan Online – The musicians of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) offered audiences in Moscow a special concert at the P.I.Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre, in Russia on September 14.

Under the baton of renowned Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji, the VNSO brought classical music lovers an opportunity to enjoy classic pieces written by Vietnamese musicians Do Hong Quan and Pham Minh Thanh as well as concerto No. 12 by famed Russian musician Shostakovich.

The concert also featured the Vietnamese violinist Le Hoai Nam.

The works written by Vietnamese musicians were a combination between classic music and Vietnam’s traditional music.

The event was a chance to promote Vietnam’s culture and traditional music to a Russia audience.

The VNSO is expected to perform another concert on September 16 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
