NDO – Some 100 outstanding photos selected in the 2016 Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards are on display at an exhibition, which opened at the Nha Trang University in the central province of Khanh Hoa on November 3.

The photos were selected from more than 5,440 entries in both categories of individual images and photo sets submitted to the Vietnam heritage photo contest this year.

They capture the striking Ban Gioc waterfall in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang, the romantic Huong River in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue and gentle rivers in the south, among other natural landscapes.

The event will take place at the university until November 7 before moving to April 2 Square in Nha Trang. The next stops will be Da Nang and Hanoi.

The Vietnam heritage photo award ceremony will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 18.

The contest, which is organised annually by Vietnam Heritage Magazine under the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, aims to raise public awareness of promoting and preserving cultural and natural heritages.
