Vietnamese expats show absolute trust in Party’s leadership

NDO – Always turning their hearts towards the motherland and making contributions to consolidating the great national unity bloc, the Overseas Vietnamese (OV) community in Laos has worked as a bridge connecting the great friendship, special solidary, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Sharing the common exciting atmosphere of the 13th National Party Congress, Vietnamese expats in Laos expressed their belief that the congress will be held successfully.

Speaking to Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper reporter, 90-year-old Nguyen Thi Nuong, an OV living in Vientiane, said that it was heartening to see the achievements gained by Vietnam over the past years under the clear-sighted leadership of the Party.

Through mass media of Vietnam and Laos, she held that the preparations for the 13th National Party Congress was made thoroughly and carefully, gathering public opinions of people from all walks of life across the country as well as Vietnamese expats on draft documents to be submitted to the Congress.

She reiterated that OVs in Laos always turn their hearts to the motherland and place absolute trust in the Party’s leadership.

For his part, Pham Van Hung, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the General Association of Vietnamese in Laos, said that he always reads Nhan Dan Newspaper to keep updated on information about Vietnam, particularly the 13th National Party Congress.

He was proud of the fatherland’s achievements, particularly in successfully containing the COVID-19 pandemic and recording positive economic growth in 2020.

Sharing his thoughts about the Party and State’s policy to support Vietnamese expats, Hung affirmed that OVs community in Laos always receive great care from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos.

The embassy often hosts talks and events to popularise Party and State’s guidelines and policies while organising activities to support poor OV families, he added.

He believes that the OVs will continue receiving great attention from the Party as they are an inseparable part of the national community.

He expressed his wish that the 13th National Party Congress will choose and elect talented personnel with moral virtue to help the country further develop in the coming years.

Meanwhile, in Russia these days, the Vietnamese expatriates are looking forward to 13th National Party Congress.

They expect that the Vietnam-Russia traditional friendship will further develop, creating favourable conditions for OVs community in Russia to do businesses and make greater contributions to the homeland.

Tran Phu Thuan, Vice Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese in Russia, stressed that Vietnam’s achievements in pandemic prevention have inspired national pride among OVs communities, including in Russia.

In his view, during the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnamese people’s trust in the Party have vividly illustrated through the country’s joint efforts to realise the dual task of fighting the pandemic and boosting socio-economic development.

According to Luu Cong Niem, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese War Veterans Russia, the association’s members place trust in the success of the 13th National Party Congress and the personnel work for the 13th tenure. He stressed that the quality of the staff plays a crucial role in the country’s fight against corruption and in national development in the time to come.
