NDO - The Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) has begun allowing the public to visit the S1 Station and a train of the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line.

The station is open to the public on January 23 and 24, attracting a large number of visitors, including children and senior citizens.

Earlier, the first of train of the Nhon-Hanoi Station Line ran from the Nhon Depot to the S1 Station, near the Hanoi University of Industry, to begin the testing phase.

People queue up outside the S1 Station to get the first glimpse of the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro train. They are required to wear masks and sanitise their hands before entering the station to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

A project official introduces general information about the train to the public. The visitors are divided into groups of 20, who are then instructed to walk to the platform to visit the train.

Under the MRB’s plan, after the public viewing, the train will undergo a trial run from the Nhon Depot through the S1, S2, S3 and S4 Stations to the S5 Station.
