NA Standing Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong meets voters in Son La

NDO - Politburo member and Standing vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, Tong Thi Phong, held a meeting with the local voters in Son La city on October 9, to listen to their opinions ahead of the upcoming 14th NA's sixth session.

Local constituents voiced their opinions on a number of urgent issues which currently affect the socio-economic development of the locality, including the adjustment of the scale of a 7.7km-section of National highway 6 and the upgrade of the flood drainage project from Chieng Sinh ward to the inner city.

Voters from Quyet Thang ward also proposed that the authorised agencies should raise the housing support package for policy beneficiary families and the Health Ministry should provide preferential health insurance policies for patients suffering from serious diseases.

They also raised their concern over the hydro-electric power plants in Son La province, asking for a review of these construction works.

NA Standing vice Chairwoman Phong acknowledged the opinions of local voters, while expressing her wish that Son La province would continue to promote its tradition to build a more prosperous province.

She also emphasised that the upcoming 14th NA's sixth session is a crucial session, with a number of new contents, particularly the election of the Presidential position, the holding of a vote of confidence for posts elected by the NA, and others.
