Senior leaders meet voters ahead of the 14th NA’s seventh session

NDO - Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong met local voters in Bien Hoa city and Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts in Dong Nai province on May 10 and 11 ahead of the upcoming seventh session of the 14 tenure of the National Assembly.

At the meetings, voters raised their voice on a number of issues including the slow progress of the relocation of the Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Zone, the complicated situation of illegal drug trading, policies towards national contributors, suspended planning projects, and others.

Politburo member Vo Van Thuong addressed voters’ questions, emphasising that corruption prevention and combat have been implemented drastically over the past few years with ‘no restricted zone’.
He also urged the local authorities to focus on addressing issues of their competence, particularly unsolved issues raised by voters in recent years.

*Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and the NA delegation from Long An province held a meeting with local voters in Binh Thanh commune, Thu Thua district, Long An province on May 11.

Voters in the commune raised their opinions on issues of electricity price increases, policies for former youth volunteers, difficulties for farmers in accessing advanced technology, degraded traffic infrastructure, environmental pollution, investment procedures and others.

The Deputy PM answered questions by voters and briefed them on the notable socio-economic situation of the country in the past months.

He received and acknowledged proposals by local voters and authorities, noting that they will be reported to the upcoming session of the NA.
