PM meets outstanding police officers

NDO - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on August 19 for representatives of the Liaison Committee of police officers who fought in the Southern Front during the resistance war against the US imperialists.

The meeting was held on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution and the 74th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945-2019).

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Party and State, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc extended his greetings to police officers who directly supported the Southern battlefield.

The PM stressed that many officers sacrificed their blood and have contributed to the fight for national liberation and reunification in the past as well as to the cause of national construction and defence today.

He also expressed his hope that the officers would continue to uphold the heroic tradition of the People's Police force and act as role models in abiding by the Party’s policies and the State’s laws for others people, especially young generations, to follow.

At the meeting, representatives of the Liaison Committee expressed their absolute confidence in the revolutionary career, the leadership of the Party and the direction and administration of the Government in the current national development process.

The police officers also affirmed that they would maintain the quality of revolutionary morality, worthy of the fine tradition of the People’s Police force, and would continue to exert efforts to make further contributions to the Fatherland.
