The event, which was held jointly by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Department of Archives under the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Office, was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Education and Communication Vo Van Thuong.
On display are over 150 documents, objects, photos and documentary films, introducing the outstanding achievements that the country has gained over the past 50 years of implementing the President Ho Chi Minh’s testament.
The exhibits were divided into four parts, themed ‘Southern Liberation and National Reunification (1969-1975), ‘National Reconstruction and Defence (1975-1986)’, ‘Renewal and Development Process (1986-1995)’, and ‘Integration and Growing (1995-2019)’.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum Vu Manh Ha emphasised that over the past 50 years, under the leadership of the Party, Vietnamese people havefulfilled the cause of national liberation, reunification and defence.
Notably, after over 30 years of Doi Moi (Renewal) process, Vietnam’s prestige and position in the international arena have increased, he added.
The exhibition will run until December.
