The delegation was led by Politburo member and Secretary of the city’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan.
The incense offering ceremony was held on the occasion of the 131st anniversary of the late leader’s birthday (August 20, 1888 – 2019).
The delegates commemorated the great contributions made by late President Ton Duc Thang – a shining example of loyalty, devotion and indomitable spirit.
Following the ceremony, the delegates visited an exhibition entitled ‘Uncle Ton with workers’.
On display are over 120 photos, documents and objects that provide visitors an overall view on the formation and development of the Vietnamese working class as well as their contributions to the struggle for national liberation and the cause of national construction and defence.
Also, many exhibits highlighted the achievements of the worker forces in Ho Chi Minh City over recent years.
On the same day, numerous people, representatives of agencies, localities and organisations in the city paid tribute to the late President.
