Special art programme praises President Ho Chi Minh

NDO – An arts programme was held in Hanoi on August 25 to celebrate the 74th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2019) and 50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event was attended by Politburo members: Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Permanent member of the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC Organisation Commission, Pham Minh Chinh; and Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong.

The event gathered well-known artists and performers, who brought to the stage a selection of songs and dances praising President Ho Chi Minh as well as affirming the affection and deep gratitude of Vietnamese people towards the beloved Father.

The programme bears significant political meaning in honouring the immortal value of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament towards the cause of national construction and defence, Party building and strengthening of the national unity bloc.

Short dramas, documentary records and reportage films depicting historical stories of Uncle Ho's life and great revolutionary career were also showcased within the programme.
